Back to some normality

Well I'm finally back in the office today after a pretty crazy two weeks!

Were now in the house after some major amounts of decorating! We now have the bedrooms done (of which we are using as the temporary livingroom, bedroom and office untill the ground floor is finished.
Were waiting for a quote and design for a new central heating system, there are no ceilings up downstairs following a mamoth demolition session! This makes things easier for the installation of the new heating system.
We still have two walls to remove, this will then give us a large open plan living room and dining room. We can then start to sort the unfinished extension out.



I've also been out in Germany at the CeBIT Technology fair. Two days of wandering the huge halls was pretty tough, I have managed to get quite a bit of info on some of the new technology's that are coming in towards the telecoms side of things....

Moving House Day

We finally get the key for the new house in the next few hours...
The main amount of moving stuff will start tomorrow and hopefully be finished over the weekend.
There is quite a bit to get done over the next few days. We need to have a good look around the place first. Since we first saw the house our total viewing time hasn't exceeded 10 minutes (coz of the amount of stuff in there!) So today will be the first look...
We know that that old back boiler will need to be replaced and moved into the new utility room (which is still part of the empty shell of the extension) I'm sure that were going to have a long and expensive list of stuff that needs doing.
I'm glad that were finally on the property ladder and even managed to take a few steps up as we've bought a 4 bedroom detached house in West Berks where the average price for this type of house is around £300,000!
