Toulouse. . .

11am. Sunny and 14 degrees... this is what greeted us at Tolouse Airport as my brother and I arrived to head down to Andorra skiing for the weekend. Just 2.5 hrs after this was taken we were at the top of the mountain skiing in the fantastic sunlight!
The weekend was all focused around being on the slope! I really can figure out how people can go skiing through the day and still have enough energy to go out drinking through the night. Most days we were ready to flake out around 11!!
It was a great weekend though, with fresh snow on Monday morning we managed to get most of the day out before heading back to the airport for our late evening flight home. :O)

General Update

Well it's been ages since my last blog entry, so I though a quick update is in order!

It's already been manic year!

Just a few days after my last blog entry Debbie has a slight incidcent in my car resulting in it now being sat in the driveway for the best part of the month! Alfa Romeo's have never had a great reputation, but I can live with that as anyone who has ever driven one will tell you that they are great to drive, you learn to deal with the odd problem. My current one is my 3rd, and to tell you the truth I have never really had any problems with them. My Alfa 145 was a great little car, that was then replaced by a new Alfa 147, which was a truely awsome car! My 156 has also been pretty good given the fact that my TV cost more than my car! It's given me reliable driving since last May. Unfortunatly for some reason it decided that its time was up and basically comitted suicide on the M4 late one evening when Debbie and her sister were on the way back from IKEA.

So for the last month I have been chasing the insurance company to make a decision on wether they are going to fix it or declare it as total loss..
Then a week later my mate Paul managed to crash his otherhalfs car one icey morning. Not partucularly good for him or the car.. so thats another write off...
Then.... last week my brother managed to write his car in a most spectacular way... with a 50mph head on with a Mercedes.. I'm hoping that's it for car crashes for the year...
Thankfully all of those involved in the incidents above were ok (if a little stiff) I would like to thank Alfa Romeo for designing the bonnet longer than the windscreen... if not Debbie and her sis may have not been so lucky! And also (suprisingly) Ford for building good strong cars...
When you see the state of the cars, you really start thinking about car safety ncap ratings....
So thats mainly the bad stuff... Onwards and upwards now... (I promise)
Wedding plans are coming together and were starting to pay for stuff...
My brother (Andy) and I are off to Andorra Skiing in a couple of weeks. . .
Debbie and I are off to the Brit awards this coming week, so I'll make sure I take some pics and get them posted here!
